5 must-have accessories
in case of rain in a van
If there's one thing you can't control during a road trip, it's the weather! That's also part of the charm of the adventure.
When it rains, there are still quite a fewThings to do. We like to say here that there is no such thing as bad weather, only bad equipment 😁!
That's why today the editorial team Tchao Tchao shares with you 5 essential accessories to take in case of rain in a converted car or van.
The canopy to enlarge the space
When it rains, some prefer to stay dry and cover up under a blanket with a hot chocolate to watch a movie, while others prefer to breathe in the fresh air. Clearly we are part of this team!
Good news, you can do both thanks to the Kampa trip awning, you can enlarge the surface area of your converted car and continue to eat outside. Thanks to the built-in floor mat, we can store our shoes without them getting caught in the rain and expand the storage space inside our vehicle by taking out the most bulky objects such as the table or camping chairs.
It's a real plus when you have a van converted into a motorhome to make sure you leave in all weathers! 😁
Plan to Large garbage bags
A small drying rack to stay dry!
The drying rack is a must-have to take when the weather is going to rain. What could be more unpleasant than wearing clothes that are still damp from the day before? Horrible feeling and real risk of getting sick! It's NO 😁
There are no 36 solutions in this case, it's either a laundromat or a system D to hang laundry in your car or campervan!
For the system D option, we recommend the extendable clothesline with integrated clothespin: see here.
It helps out well in case of humidity and in the middle of summer it is also very practical to dry tea towels or bath towels for example!
An outdoor mat
so you don't get your vehicle dirty
An outdoor mat is very useful in capricious weather to keep your feet dry when you get out of your converted car for example! Just like at home, it allows you to take off your shoes and be able to put your foot on the ground without being in the mud or humidity!
Here, you can of course put a garbage bag on the ground under the door, a mini tarpaulin or a groundsheet usually made to protect tents.
A broom and mop to clean up your vehicle
When the weather is not good, there is a greater chance that small dust or damp shoe marks will find their way into your vehicle. To maintain a clean living space, you can bring a small broom that will allow you to dust your vehicle.
In case of rain, it is likely that your shoes are not very very clean and that you leave marks in your vehicle, to remove them you can take with you a mop that will be very useful too.
